The big question everyone is asking whether they should be posting on face book 5 am or 12pm or maybe 9pm. The answer is not as obvious as you might think. Throughout this post I will be sharing with you at what time you should be posting on Facebook.
The reason the answer is not as obvious as you might think, is because each and every single person is different, a business is different, and your followers are different. So each Facebook is unique in its own right.
Facebook provides a tool called Facebook Insights, it shows you when people are on your fan page. Most of my client’s customers are based in UK, they do have occasional customers in USA and Asia but the majority of the customers are in UK. Facebook insights shows me when their audience is on and they break this down based on engagement. This gives me an insight on when they should be posting.
As most my clients are from UK and so is their audience, it wouldn’t make any sense that they post during Pacific Time, majority of their audience will be sleeping.
Now that you are aware that you should be suing Facebook insights, the answer isn’t as simple as posting on whatever time frame you see on Facebook Insights, because remember that the Facebook Insights measures engagement, which means it’ll tell you what posts are doing well during what time frame you post them. So, in my experience the only real way to know when to post on Facebook is to test it out. And the most useful test I found to date is to try and schedule your posts at different times. Start with the following times; 6am, 10am, 12pm, 3pm, 5pm, and 9pm.
Once you have a clearer picture on what time frames are doing best you can then post within an hour of each those time frames and figure out what’s working best for you. Once you have figured this out, you’ll know what you should be posting every single day or in fact whether you should be posting every day. Maybe, your audience is most active on weekends or mid-week.
Remember, weekdays are going to be different to weekends, so I advise you test this out every day. The more you test the more you find out about your audience and the more you know your audience the more you are likely to convert them into customers.
